The Courteeners / November and December 2015 UK Tour

Manchester indie pop heroes The Courteeners have announced a massive autumn tour of the UK. The series of dates concludes at home for the band with a record-breaking five back-to-back dates at the venerated Manchester Apollo between the 8th and the 12th of December. Tickets for the gigs in November and December go on sale this Wednesday, the 26th of August, at 9 AM. In case you have any doubt, I’d recommend you snap up tickets to this tour ASAP, as I’m sure these dates will sell out quickly.

Reverend and the Makers / November and December 2015 UK Tour

Reverend and the Makers have announced details of their forthcoming LP ‘Mirrors’ along with a list of UK tour dates for this November.  ‘Mirrors’ is set for release on the 9th of October via Cooking Vinyl, and to coincide with the release, singer Jon McClure will also release a book of his lyrics and poetry, called ‘The Lyrics and Poetry of Jon McClure with Illustrations by Horace Panter.’ Watch and listen to the promo for their brand new single ‘Black Widow’ in yesterday’s Video of the Moment.

Ash / December 2015 UK/Irish Tour

Northern Irish indie rock veterans Ash have just announced a December tour of the UK and Ireland, following the May release of their new album ‘Kablammo!’ and their recent run of live dates back in June.  The December tour dates will be preceded by appearances at Reading and Leeds at the end of this month, as well as the release of a new single called ‘Machinery’ on the 9th of October.  Ash frontman Tim Wheeler describes the new track as “probably the most indie pop tune on the record” and says it’s “essentially a song about someone in modern times trying to find a real connection”.

The View / September and October 2015 UK Tour

Scottish indie pop rockers The View have announced an autumn tour of the UK to follow the release of their upcoming fifth LP ‘Ropewalk’, which is due for release on the 11th of September.  Appropriately dubbed ‘The Ropewalk Tour’, the newly-announced run of headline dates will culminate in back-to-back shows at the Edinburgh Liquid Rooms on the 4th and 5th of October.

Mallory Knox / September and October 2015 UK Tour

Following on their recent Download Festival appearance, Cambridge stadium rockers Mallory Knox have announced an autumn headline tour of the UK.  Dubbed the ‘Homecoming’ tour, this run of live dates will find the band performing songs from their recent top 15 album ‘Asymmetry’, which was recorded at Moles in Bath and Monnow Valley in Wales with legendary Pixies / Foo Fighters producer Gil Norton.  Below the tour date listing, you can watch the video for album track ‘Heart and Desire.’

Mallory Knox are currently touring in America with the Vans Warped Tour 2015 but are keen to bring their live show back across the pond.  Band frontman Mikey Chapman says, “We have been lucky enough to head overseas a lot this year and play to loads of new people, but we really cannot wait to get back to the UK and play our biggest headline run yet.  There really is no place like home!”  Tickets for the following shows are available now.

New Order / November 2015 UK Tour

Electropop legends New Order have recently announced details of a new album, their first in ten years, titled ‘Music Complete’.  Featuring guest appearances from Iggy Pop, Brandon Flowers and Elly Jackson (La Roux), the album is due for release on the 25th of September via Mute Artists Ltd.  The band have released a series of very brief promo trailers as a sneak preview of ‘Music Complete’; you can view all three below the tour date listing.

In support of the album release, New Order will showcase their new material with a short run of live shows in the UK this November.  Tickets for the following shows go on sale tomorrow, Friday the 10th of July, at 9 AM.  To hear the band’s Stephen Morris in conversation with Radcliffe and Maconie on 6 Music yesterday (Wednesday the 8th of July) on iPlayer, visit the 6 Music Web site.For previous TGTF coverage of New Order, you can click here.
