Rat Boy / April and May 2017 UK Tour

Jordan Cardy, a Hip-hop and punk artist and producer better known under his pseudonym Rat Boy, has announced his biggest UK tour to date. And we mean biggest: this series of dates culminates in a massive show at London’s Roundhouse on the 6th of May. Why all the fuss? We hear that new Rat Boy material is on its way to being unveiled, so keep your ears close to the ground. (You know, because you know, rats, they have short little legs…I know, bad joke.) The Sherlocks / February and March 2017 UK/Irish Tour

Sheffield rock band The Sherlocks have announced a new UK and Irish tour for the new year, their biggest one yet. And it’s pretty massive, seeing the group performing nearly every single night in February and the first half of March. Tickets are on sale this Friday, the 18th of November, at 10 AM. The Courteneers / November 2016 UK Tour

Liam Fray and the Courteneers like to do things big. The Manchester band favourites’ latest tour announcement proves this extends to their travel plans around the UK, which includes 12 stops. (Oddly, Manchester has been omitted from the tour. Christmas hometown show, perhaps?) They’ll be supporting upcoming fifth album ‘Mapping the Rendezvous’, which is slated for release on the 21st of October on PIAS. Tickets are on sale now for all the dates below. Spring King / October 2016 UK Tour

In anticipation of their upcoming debut album ‘Tell Me If You Like To’, Manchester alt-rockers Spring King have announced another run of UK live dates for this autumn. The new LP is due for release on Friday the 10th of June on Island Records. As was the case on their English tour this May, Spring King’s guests on the October tour will be Kent’s Get Inuit (on all dates except Portsmouth). Get Inuit will also play support for Spring King’s album launch parties on the 9th and 10th of June in London and Manchester.

Tickets for the following live dates will be available on Spring King’s album release day, this Friday at 10 AM. Teleman / April 2016 UK Tour

London-based alt-rock quartet Teleman have announced a list of UK and European tour dates to coincide with the release of their second LP ‘Brilliant Sanity’ on the 8th of April.  Our own editor Mary has recently featured the video for the album’s current single ‘Düsseldorf’ right back here.  The newly listed tour dates include a show at the London Koko on the 14th of April, before the band heads off to Europe for dates in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.

The Dunwells / April 2016 UK Tour

Leeds alt-rockers the Dunwells will play a run of live dates in the UK this spring, following the release of their new album ‘Light Up the Sky’ and their trip to America for SXSW 2016.  The album is out today on Decca/Concord (Carrie’s review posts today at noon), but we at TGTF have already featured several tracks from it in our collected coverage of the Dunwells.

Support for the ‘Light Up the Sky’ tour will be played by American indie rock band Bronze Radio Return. Tickets for the following shows are available now.
