MP3 of the Day #175: Savoir Adore

I’m a sucker for a good female lead singer, and this track sounds like it’s plucked straight from the soundtrack of Garden State. So naturally I’ve had it on repeat for the past hour, just imagining it’s Natalie Portman singing. Now that I’ve got to grips with the fact it’s not her, I still love it. It’s from Savoir Adore (better known to their mums as Paul Hammer and Deidre Muro), who sound like they could be the next underground slow-to-gain-momentum sensation.

Their debut album, “In the Wooded Forest”, is set to be released by hip label Cantora Records in July – the New York based company who have helped launch MGMT, Violens and Bear Hands.
