We Are Scientists / October and November 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Perennial American jokesters – and awesome music duo to boot – We Are Scientists have announced details of a massive UK and Irish tour for this autumn. They’ll be touring in support of their sixth album ‘Helter Seltzer’, which was released back in the spring. You can read Steven’s review of the long player through this link. Bastille / October and November 2016 UK Tour

Dan Smith and Bastille are gearing up to release ‘Wild World’, their second album and follow-up to their monster blockbuster ‘Bad Blood’. ‘Wild World’ will see the light of day on the 9th of September on Virgin EMI. A fan presale for their upcoming autumn tour will take place on Wednesday, the 6th of July, at 9 AM. The general sale will follow on Friday, the 8th of July, at 9 AM. You can watch the video for the first taster, ‘Good Grief’, below the tour dates (warning: there’s a bit of nudity that might bother the biggest prudes).

Tom Odell / November 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Chichester-born singer/songwriter Tom Odell has announced a list of November tour dates to follow his highly-anticipated new album ‘Wrong Crowd’, due for release on the 10th of June via Columbia Records. Odell recently played the album’s lead single ‘Magnetised’ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, and you can watch that performance just below the tour date listing.

The November tour will start in Dublin on the 1st of November and end at London’s Brixton Academy on the 13th of the month. Tickets for the following live shows will be available at 8 today, Friday the 27th of May. TGTF’s previous coverage of Tom Odell is collected right back here.

Holy Esque / March, April and May 2016 UK Tour

Scottish rock quartet Holy Esque have planned a list of tour dates in the UK to follow the release of their forthcoming debut LP ‘At Hope’s Ravine’. The album is scheduled for release on the 26th of February via the band’s own record label Beyond the Frequency. Just below the tour date listing, you can have a listen to album track ‘Silences’, which was also part of Holy Esque’s recent double A-sided release.

Holy Esque will play three in-store shows immediately following the album release, including one on Leap Day, the 29th of February. They will head to America for SXSW 2016 in March, with the full UK tour beginning on the 6th of April.  At the end of their UK run, Holy Esque are scheduled to appear at The Great Escape 2016 in May.  Tickets for the following shows are available now.

Cast / October and November 2015 UK/Irish Tour

Veteran Britpop band Cast have announced a brand new album via PledgeMusic, along with a lengthy run of live shows in the UK and Ireland for later this autumn.  The band released the first track from the new album, titled ‘Baby Blue Eyes’, earlier this year.  You can listen to that track, which is also being offered as a free download, just below the tour date listing.

Following their October and November live dates, Cast will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their classic album ‘All Change’ with a show at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, featuring the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, on Saturday the 5th of December.  Tickets for the following shows are available now; please note that several dates have already sold out.

The 1975 / November 2015 UK Tour

After scaring to death their fans by suggesting they might be breaking up (what a coup of a publicity stunt, eh?) Manchester’s all too beloved The 1975 have revealed that instead, they have been working on evolving for their second full-length album release. With that, they’ve announced a massive November 2015 UK tour that will see them in much smaller venues than they can fill at this point in their career. A presale for these dates starts at 9 AM today here on their Facebook page, with the general sale taking place tomorrow at 9 AM.
