Spring King / May 2016 English Tour

Garage rock / pop band Spring King have announced a May 2016 headline tour of England, which concludes with a show at London Scala on the 26th presented by DIY. The Manchester group recently revealed the promo video for ‘Rectifier’, their newest single; we posted the vid in this previous Video of the Moment feature. Tickets to this tour are on sale now. The band have also been announced for the bills of both Live at Leeds on the 20th of April and the Great Escape on the 19th of May.

The Joy Formidable / May 2016 UK Tour

Following on from their short tour in February, hard-rocking Welsh band and TGTF friends The Joy Formidable have announced an appropriately formidable headline tour for May 2016. The trio’s tour includes stops at Focus Wales in Wrexham on the 12th of May and at the Great Escape in Brighton on the 19th. Tickets to the gig dates on this upcoming journey around the UK go on sale today, Friday, the 4th of March, at 10 AM. Boy Jumps Ship / May 2016 UK Tour

Newcastle alt-rockers Boy Jumps Ship will embark on a headline tour in May, following the anticipated release of their debut album ‘Wake Up’ on the 22nd of April on Amazing Record Co.  Tickets for the following live dates will be available this morning, Friday the 19th of February, at 10 AM.

London folk-rock five-piece Treetop Flyers have announced a spring tour of the UK to follow the release of their sophomore LP ‘Palomino’.  The album is due out on the 11th of March on Loose Records and will include the single ’31 Years’, whose video is featured below the tour date listing.

YAK / May 2016 UK Tour

London-based psych rock trio YAK have announced a May headline tour of the UK, following their trip to America for SXSW 2016 in March. Their debut album ‘Alas Salvation’ is due out on the 13th of May on Octopus Electrical/Kobalt and will include ‘Hungry Heart’, which was released in the form of a single last year. At the end of this week, YAK will head out on tour supporting King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.  Their busy tour schedule will see them play a handful of American headline dates in March before they head back across the pond for the following shows. James / May 2016 UK Tour

Veteran Manchester rock band James will launch the UK leg of their ‘Girl at the End of the World’ Tour this May, following the 18th March release of their album by the same name. The band will also play two shows ahead of the release, one on the 17th of February at the Manchester Academy (which is already sold out) and one the 18th of February at the Scala in London.
