By on Saturday, 28th June 2014 at 10:00 am

Wherever you will be hanging your hat this weekend, whether you’re joining the sheep at Worthy Farm or you’ve got your feet up in front of the telly, us here at TGTF will have you covered when it comes to Glastonbury 2014. The dedicated people they are, the folks at the BBC will be working all hours during the festival and feeding us live coverage as it becomes available. What does this mean for you? We’ll be passing along all the best bits to you, our faithful readers.

Hugely popular American band Foster the People played to a equally huge crowd (no surprise there) Friday at the Other Stage of Glastonbury 2014. Watch their funky as all hell, ’70s inspired performance of ‘Best Friend’ below.

MP3 of the Day #494: Foster the People

By on Monday, 20th February 2012 at 10:00 am

Ever wondered what Foster the People would sound like if they were transported to the tropics? We have some idea with this new remix of ‘Don’t Stop’ by New York City by way of South Africa-born producer St. Lucia, animal squawking included.

Foster the People play a few live dates in May; all the details are here.

Video of the Moment #653: Foster the People

No, I did not see Foster the People when I was in London. (I was on a mission to meet and see as many English, not American, bands as possible.) This video I’m giving you guys today is really as un-Foster the People as possible: the band and Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) get involved in a car chase and well…it has to be seen to be believed. Watch the promo for ‘Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls)’ below.

That American band you can try to but can’t escape from, Foster the People, release their next single, ‘Call It What You Want’, from their debut ‘Torches’ review here), on the 5th of December. Below is the video for the new single; as pointed out by fans on YouTube, doesn’t the video look suspiciously similar to the one in Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’?

MP3 of the Day #426: Foster the People

By on Tuesday, 25th October 2011 at 10:00 am

Foster the People track ‘Life on the Nickel’ has been urban remixed by Los Angeles’s Mansions on the Moon, some mates of N.E.R.D’s Pharrell Williams. Interesting take on the song and you can listen to and download it for free.
