Ahead of those shows, Lewis is slated to play at AmericanaFest UK at the end of January, presumably featuring songs from his fantastic recent LP release ‘Loversity.’ If you haven’t listened to that album yet, I highly encourage it; you can check out its second single ‘Natural Disaster’ at the bottom of the page.

According to Lewis’ official Facebook, further headline shows may be added to the following list. Keep an eye on his Facebook listing for updated information. TGTF’s coverage of Sam Lewis from SXSW 2018 is right back this way.

Live Gig Video: Ride share performance video for single ‘Catch You Dreaming’ from new EP

By on Monday, 19th February 2018 at 4:00 pm

Following their amazing return last year with their first new music in 20 years, the reunited Ride have just released a new EP. ‘Tomorrow’s Shore’ is out now from Wichita Recordings on both digital and limited edition 12″ formats. The shoegaze legends have now unveiled a second single and an accompanying promo from the new release. ‘Catch You Dreaming’, which follows close behind previous single ‘Pulsar’, is another evocative, reverb-drenched tune from the group from Oxford. The monochromatic video overlays images of them performing the song in an upstairs rehearsal room on top of, not surprisingly, soothing footage of the seaside. Watch the video for ‘Catch You Dreaming’ below. ‘Weather Diaries’, their album released last year, is also available now. For more on Ride here on TGTF, follow this link.

Live Gig Video: Kodaline share acoustic performance of ‘The Riddle’ from a rooftop in Malaysia

By on Friday, 16th February 2018 at 4:00 pm

Jason Boland, bass player for Irish group Kodaline, is a keen videographer. In particular, lately he’s been flying his drone to take some pretty cool video from the air. In Kodaline’s latest video, Boland got to fly his drone while he and his band performed an acoustic version of ‘The Riddle’, which appears on their current EP ‘I Wouldn’t Be’, out now on B-Unique Records. And they didn’t choose just anywhere for the location of this video. They decided to film this probably as far from Dublin as they could, in the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, surrounded by the taller spires of other buildings around them. It’s definitely a unique performance video! Watch it below. For all of our past coverage on Kodaline – it goes all the way back to September 2012!go here.

Live Gig Video: Titus Andronicus share studio performance of ‘Above the Bodega (Local Business)’

By on Friday, 9th February 2018 at 4:00 pm

Last month, New Jersey’s Titus Andronicus previewed their upcoming album ‘A Productive Cough’ with a live video for ‘Number One (in New York)’. Watch it here. A month on, and just shy of a month before the new LP is released to the wild, the band now wanting to be known as ‘+@’ have got another live video to show us. As rightly noted by one of the commenters on YouTube, ‘Above the Bodega (Local Business)’ has echoes of Robbie Robertson and The Band, of a bygone era when real rock bands ruled the airwaves. Watch it below. Stay tuned for ‘A Productive Cough’ when it drops on the 2nd of March on Merge Records. For much more on Titus Andronicus on TGTF, follow us over here.
