Elbow / February and March 2017 UK/Irish Tour

It feels weird to see a photo of Elbow as a quartet, doesn’t it? But Manchester’s hometown heroes are indeed now down to four in number, and they have announced a full arena tour for the beginning of next year, their first without the services of recently departed drummer Richard Jupp. The massive tour announcement comes in support of Elbow’s forthcoming seventh studio album, whose title is yet to be announced, but which is due for release via Polydor on the 3rd of February next year.

Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls / November and December 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Fresh from their opening slot on the main stage at Reading and Leeds 2016, indefatigable folk-punk troubadour Frank Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls have announced a massive list of tour dates for the UK and Ireland at the end of this year. Dubbed the ‘Get Better Tour 2016’, the new slate of live dates begins in Dublin on the 16th of November and wraps up in Portsmouth on the 14th of December.

Catfish and the Bottlemen / April 2016 UK Tour

Indie rock phenoms Catfish and the Bottlemen have announced a run of tour dates in April, following the release of their new single ‘Soundcheck’ (streaming just below the tour date listing).  The Brit Awards 2016 have nominated Van McCann and his bandmates for British Breakthrough Act this year, and the band have already announced upcoming festival appearances at Sheffield’s Tramlines and Lollapolooza Berlin.

Simply Red / Summer 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Veteran soul-pop band Simply Red are just wrapping up their 30th anniversary Big Love World Tour and have announced a new set of live dates for next summer. The band are set to perform a selection of their classic hits, such as ‘Stars’, ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’, ‘Holding Back The Years’ and ‘Fairground’, in a variety of scenic venues across the UK.  Simply Red’s summer tour will also include an Irish date as part of the Live at the Marquee series in Cork as well as appearances at London serial festivals Live at Chelsea and Kew the Music, and the Betley Farm Festival.

The Crookes / February 2016 UK Tour

Sheffield indie pop quartet the Crookes have just announced a massive list of UK tour dates for next February. These follow November 2015 live dates supporting the Fratellis.  The tour will include a show at the London Oslo on the 24th of February before wrapping up with a hometown date at the Sheffield Leadmill on the 27th of the month.

The February dates will come just after the release of the Crookes’ fourth LP ‘Lucky Ones’, which is due out on the 29th of January via Anywhere Records in the UK and Modern Outsider in America.  The Crookes are scheduled to visit America in March next year for SXSW 2016.

The Dunwells / November 2015 UK Tour

Leeds folk rock quartet the Dunwells will headline a run of UK dates this coming November, following the 16th of October release of their new single ‘Hey Now’ on Decca/Concord.  ‘Hey Now’ will feature on the band’s upcoming LP, due out early in 2016.  The Dunwells’ ‘Lucky Ones’ EP was released back in May and has reached over 1 million streams on Spotify.
