Video of the Moment #699: Dog is Dead

By on Thursday, 2nd February 2012 at 6:00 pm

Not sure what’s up with the trend of marionettes and/or puppet imagery in promo videos (see: Don Scannell, Cloud Nothings), but Dog is Dead‘s somewhat creepy new video for ‘Two Devils’ follows suit. I love this single though; it will be released on the 5th of March and includes the B-Side ‘The Well’, as well as an amazing remix of ‘Two Devils’ by Bombay Bicycle Club.

We’ve got a free Dog is Dead remix for you today. It’s by Seams and it’s a blippy, bleepy version of the Nottingham band’s original.

We featured the original song as a Video of the Moment last month.

Nottingham’s Dog is Dead has a new single on the horizon, called ‘Hands Down’, which will be released on Halloween (the 31st of October). And they’ve just released their promo video for it. If Noah and the Whale have gone ‘too American’ for you, I think you’ll like this one. These guys are just pure fun!

Dog is Dead begins a tour supporting Bombay Bicycle Club starting Friday in Brighton – details here. They will also be supporting Tribes on the 28th of October at Electric Ballroom.

Dog is Dead played at their hometown Nottingham festival Splendour last month, and we’ve got a pretty neat video from the event. In this vid, they’re playing ‘Young’ to a very receptive crowd. Nice one.
