The Crookes / December 2016 English Tour

After a very busy and productive year, Sheffield’s own “intelligent pop dreamers” The Crookes will close out 2016 with a special Christmas tour. Their list of December live dates will include stops in London and Leeds before wrapping up with a Saturday night show at home in Sheffield on the 17th of December. Tickets for the following shows are available now. Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls / November and December 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Fresh from their opening slot on the main stage at Reading and Leeds 2016, indefatigable folk-punk troubadour Frank Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls have announced a massive list of tour dates for the UK and Ireland at the end of this year. Dubbed the ‘Get Better Tour 2016’, the new slate of live dates begins in Dublin on the 16th of November and wraps up in Portsmouth on the 14th of December.

As usual, Turner himself has chosen the support acts for the ‘Get Better’ tour, Esmé Patterson and Felix Hagan and the Family. Tickets for the following lengthy list of shows are available now.  TGTF’s full archive of previous coverage on Frank Turner is back this way.

Ardyn / November and December 2016 UK Tour

Talk about momentous: Gloucestershire sibling duo Ardyn have announced their first-ever headline tour of the UK for this autumn. Twins Rob and Katy Pearson, whose beautiful harmonies caught our attention ahead of Dot to Dot 2016, released their EP ‘The Valley’ earlier this summer. They’ve also recorded a live session of the EP at London’s famed studio The Pool, including a performance of the title track. Chemical Brothers / December 2016 UK Tour

Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, better known as the influential English electronic duo Chemical Brothers, have announced a small handful of live dates in the UK for the middle of December 2016. These shows will conclude the pair’s world tour that takes them through Europe, Asia and the Middle East before returning to blighty. They’ll be supporting their incredible 11th album ‘Born in the Echoes’, which has had legs since its release in summer 2015. Tickets have already gone for Blackpool and the first London date revealed, but tickets are still available for Glasgow and a second London date has gone on sale as well. Biffy Clyro / November and December 2016 UK Tour

Hard-rocking yet pop-leaning Scottish band Biffy Clyro have announced their plans to embark on an arena tour of the UK this winter. They’ll be popping by most major cities in Britain from the end of November into the middle of December 2016. Tickets go on sale this Friday, the 2nd of September, at 9 AM. Back in July, the band released their seventh album ‘Ellipsis’, which shot straight to #1 on the UK albums chart, as well as those in Germany, Switzerland and Ireland. Teenage Fanclub / November and December 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Veteran Glaswegian indie pop stars Teenage Fanclub have announced a massive tour of the UK and Ireland for this November and December, following their completely sold out September UK tour and a list of October live dates in North America. The lengthy list of live shows comes in support of Teenage Fanclub’s forthcoming new album ‘Here’, which is due out on the 9th of September on the band’s own PeMa label, via Republic of Music in the UK (it’ll be out on Merge Records in America). You can watch the promo video for the album’s first single ‘I’m In Love’ just below the tour date listing.
