Video of the Moment #2177: Bat for Lashes

In a sea of talented female singer/songwriters, what’s a girl to do, to make herself rise up above all the rest? Natasha Khan, better known under her stage name Bat for Lashes, has always had oodles of charisma, and that charisma came back to the fore when Khan released the melancholic album ‘The Bride’, her fourth and the second of her LPs to have been nominated for the Mercury Prize. In the newest promo video from the album for ‘Joe’s Dream’, Khan takes centre stage (literally) with an earth-toned electric guitar to perform a slow-burning version of the track. Check out the new video below. For more on Bat for Lashes on TGTF, go here.

Natasha Khan, better known as dream pop artist Bat for Lashes, knows a thing or two about creating the right atmosphere. Ahead of the release of her new album ‘The Bride’, she’s revealed early teaser ‘In God’s House’, which now has its own promo video. An abandoned tomb, windswept hair, a mysterious truck appearing out of nowhere to pick her up…it’s all here in this promo, which you can watch below.

The album is scheduled for release on the 1st of July on Parlophone Records. As might be expected in support of an album called ‘The Bride’, the Brighton-based Khan has announced a series of shows in America and England in April, May and June in actual churches. For all details on these upcoming gigs, check out Bat for Lashes’ official Web site. And for more on Bat for Lashes here on TGTF, head this way.

Natasha Khan bares some skin around some furry animals in the Bat for Lashes video for ‘Lilies’. If that description doesn’t make you keen on watching it, not sure what will. Enjoy it below.

The latest Bat for Lashes video is for ‘A Wall’, Natasha Khan’s new single out on the 17th of February. The visual takes place in the outdoors…and then indoors at a party. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but then again, which of her videos have made sense? Watch it below.

Bat for Lashes‘ Natasha Khan is thankfully clothed in this promo for ‘All Your Gold’. In a backless dress and then a bi-color leotard, she looks like she’s fighting with an imaginary foe. With its rhythmic back beats, does it sound like Goyte’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’? You make the decision. Watch the video below.

Download it for absolutely free from Amazon via this link. If you want to listen to it first, below is a stream of the song.
