Sam Lewis / February and March 2019 UK Tour

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Sam Lewis will make his first trip to the UK in over two years at the beginning of 2019, with a list of live headline dates announced for February and March. Ahead of those shows, Lewis is slated to play at AmericanaFest UK at the end of January, presumably featuring songs from his fantastic recent LP release ‘Loversity.’ If you haven’t listened to that album yet, I highly encourage it; you can check out its second single ‘Natural Disaster’ at the bottom of the page.

Keston Cobblers’ Club / April 2017 English Tour

Folk pop group Keston Cobblers’ Club will be releasing a new album at the end of next month. ‘Almost Home’, their third and the follow-up to 2015’s critically acclaimed ‘Wildfire’ (read Carrie’s review of it here), will drop on the 31st of March. While the band led by siblings Matthew and Julia Lowe are starry-eyed over a European tour that is currently in the works, they have an English tour in April already planned to support the new release. Tickets are on sale now to the following dates, which fill up nearly every evening in the second half of the month. We’re expecting a slew of summer festival dates to follow in due course too. Under the tour dates, you can have a taste of their forthcoming LP in the form of the title track’s music video. Villagers / January and February 2016 UK/Irish Tour

Conor J. O’Brien and Villagers will begin 2016 with a tour of Ireland and the UK in support of Villagers’ new album ‘Where Have You Been All My Life?’ The album, billed as a distillation of “five years and three albums of Villagers songwriting into one flowing narrative”, is out now on Domino Records. If you fancy a quick review of Villagers’ back catalogue before you listen to the new album, you can find TGTF’s archive of previous coverage on the band right here.

Villagers will play live dates in Ireland through the end of January before crossing the Irish Sea for a run of February shows, including a date at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. Scheduled dates in Belfast and Dublin have already sold out, but tickets for the remaining shows listed below are available now.

The Unthanks / February and March 2015 UK/Irish Tour

Tyneside folk duo The Unthanks will set off on a lengthy tour of the UK and Ireland next month in support of their forthcoming album ‘Mount the Air’. The self-released album was recorded over 2 years’ time in Northumberland and is the first new recorded material from The Unthanks in 4 years. Sisters Rachel and Becky Unthank will scaffold their formidable vocal talents on this tour with a full 10-piece instrumental ensemble. Tickets for the following shows are available now.

Skins UK Tour / January 2011

We’ve just received word that there will be a Skins-themed tour next month. The eight towns that have been chosen for the gigs are the hometowns of each of the eight new characters in the E4 teen drama. You can get tickets from the Skins official Web site (you must be at least 18 to register for these). Bands participating in this tour include 10 for 2011 bands Mona and Trophy Wife (pictured above).
