The Divine Comedy / October 2016 and February 2017 UK/Irish Tour

Following on from the initial announcement in May, The Divine Comedy has added on another London date to his previously announced UK and Irish tour for October 2016 and February 2017. The continuing solo project of legendary Northern Irish singer/songwriter Neil Hannon will be adding another album to its now massive back catalogue of work: on the 2nd of September, he will be releasing ‘Foreverland’, his first true Divine Comedy album since 2010’s ‘Bang Goes the Knighthood’. (Hannon has been busy with plenty of other things in the meantime, including co-penning the second album for the cricket-themed act The Duckworth Lewis Method; composed a choral work for the newly renovated organ in the Royal Festival Hall, entitled ‘To Our Fathers in Distress’; and oversaw the transfer of his musical Swallows And Amazons to the West End stage. ::cough, wheeze::)

Tickets to all the shows below are on sale but be forewarned, some of these venues are pretty small (I’m still shaking my head at Sheffield Foundry in particular), several dates are already sold out, and the first London Palladium date sold out in less than 48 hours. In other words, be quick!

Coasts / June 2015 UK Tour

Bristol indie pop quintet Coasts will embark on a summer headline tour of “Coastal” seaside towns and riverside cities in the UK this June, culminating with their biggest headline show to date at the London Koko. They are also scheduled to make summer festival appearances at Isle of Wight, T in the Park, and Reading and Leeds.

Coasts’ new single ‘Modern Love’ will be released on the 27th of April, but you can view the official video for the track just below the tour date listing. Tickets for the following shows are available now. For previous TGTF coverage of Coasts, go here.

The Satellite Tour starring Sons and Lovers, Eliza and the Bear and Fred Page / February 2014 UK Tour

London bands Sons and Lovers (pictured above) and Eliza and the Bear and solo artist Fred Page will be joining forces on a tour in February as part of the Satellite ‘New Music. New Circuit’ Tour.

Tickets are available now for the ridiculously affordable sum of £4 each. No excuses now, are there? Goldie Lookin’ Chain / February and March 2009 UK Tour

I can’t believe I’m writing about this. Goldie Lookin’ Chain have announced another UK tour, somehow still managing to get around the countr, managing to still ride the wave of their minor 2005 success. And, suprisingly, they actually seem to be working hard, with an almost 20 night non-stop run around the UK.
