Teleman / October and November 2016 UK Tour

By on Monday, 23rd May 2016 at 9:00 am

Glory Hallejujah! No pun intended: London’s Teleman, led by frontman Tommy Sanders, have announced a massive new winter UK tour for October and November 2016. All the dates are listed below, and tickets are available now.

The band have also released a promo video for what I consider one of their latest album’s strongest offerings. ‘Brilliant Sanity’ was released back in April on Moshi Moshi Records (read my review here) and ‘Glory Hallejujah’, not to be confused with or compared to the Leonard Cohen tearjerker, now has its own promo video. Directed by the band’s own keyboardist Jonny Sanders, there’s running around, daylight and nighttime, water and rocky outcrops, indoor shots of cathedrals and outdoor shots of…well…cathedrals. And some live shots from touring. It’s all here in the promo for ‘Glory Hallejujah’, which you can watch below. PS: hey Tom, I hope you’re happy and smiling somewhere. For more on Teleman on TGTF, head here.

Catholic Action / March and April 2016 UK Tour

By on Tuesday, 19th January 2016 at 9:00 am

Glaswegian twee poppers Catholic Action will be back in action (sorry, had to do it) on the live stage in March and April 2016. It’s a rather compact tour not even taking over a full week this winter, but for an up-and-coming Scottish band, it’s no mean feat for two of the four shows in the tour proper to be over the Scottish border (the 29th of March in Manchester, followed by the 30th of March in London). They’ve also got appearances at home in Glasgow at Nice ‘n’ Sleazy on the 31st of March, followed by the conclusion of the tour in Aberdeen on the 1st of April. Tickets for this short tour are on sale now.

The band will also be appearing at London Dome next month, on the 24th of February, supporting Swim Deep at an NME Awards show in the capital. And in case that isn’t enough Catholic Action news for you, we’ve learned their next single ‘L.U.V.’ will be out on the 18th of March on both 7″ and digital download on Luv Luv Luv Records. And we all need a little luv, don’t we?

Wednesday 24th February 2016 – London Dome (NME Awards supporting Swim Deep)
Tuesday 29th March 2016 – Manchester Fallow
Wednesday 30th March 2016 – London Sebright Arms
Thursday 31st March 2016 – Glasgow Nice ‘n’ Sleazy
Friday 1st April 2016 – Aberdeen Underdog
