Video of the Moment #2830: Franz Ferdinand

Despite their stature as long-standing indie favourites, Franz Ferdinand don’t take themselves too seriously. The Glaswegian rockers released fifth studio album ‘Always Ascending’ in February and are currently in the midst of the U.S. leg of their world tour. The latest evidence that they’re really jokesters at heart is the new video for ‘Glimpse of Love’ taken from the new LP. All five of their current band members get into the act, with loads of priceless faceless expressions and even some bum shaking. Don’t worry, no sheep or dogs were harmed in the making of this video. Or so we think… This version of ‘Glimpse of Love’ is also special, in that it was re-recorded live so this one is different from the one on the album. ‘Always Ascending’ is availablw now from Domino Records. For all of TGTF’s past coverage on Franz Ferdinand, come through.
