Video of the Moment #2367: Ivy Nations

Irish indie pop quartet Ivy Nations are setting the Dublin scene on fire. Only two singles into their career, the guys have graced radios as far as America and Australia, as well as securing them touring support slots with countrymen Kodaline. Going three for three with their new single and video ‘Live By Design’, Ivy Nations are coming up as one of Ireland’s hottest indie bands at the minute.

The video features a lonely man living and working in a very bare but structured world. Everything has a place outlined in white, from where he sleeps to the footsteps he takes. Like a machine with only one function, his job is to take white boxes from a stack, deliver them to doors and place them on the white squares as marked. After three or four of the same run, he finds a box slightly out of place, which sends him into malfunction, and he ultimately breaks free of the structure his life is built around. Check out the cryptic and somewhat existentialist video below. ‘Live by Design’ is out now.. If you fancy catching Ivy Nations live, go here for a list of their Irish dates.
