Video of the Moment #2310: Los Campesinos!

Welsh band Los Campesinos! released their fifth album ‘Sick Scenes’ last week on Wichita Recordings. One of the more unusually titled songs on the release and a track they unveiled at the start of the year ahead of the LP’s unveiling is ‘5 Flucloxacillin’. Why is Gareth Campesinos singing a song about an antibiotic? It’s a metaphor for the various salves he has used to get through the daily difficulties of being a human in today’s world and indeed, those of our generation he views doing the same exact thing. The content of the music video, however, doesn’t seem to run as deep. The band members are split into two teams and sent on a bargain hunt ala reality tv style. Who wins? You’ll have to watch the entire promo for ‘5 Flucloxacillin’ below to find out. Boy, am I glad no one actually got sick in this one. To read more of TGTF’s coverage of Los Campesinos!, you can sashay this way.
