On the first of this month, London’s Savages graced the stage at La Cigale in Paris and delivered, as per typical for them, a blistering set to a crowd of adoring Parisians. We’re lucky to have been tipped off to this live footage of the post-punk group via French culture channel Arté that was filmed by Walter Films and directed by Antoine Carlier, which you can watch below. It includes the band’s punishing performances of ‘Sad Person’ from the band’s newest album out on Matador Records, ‘Adore Life’, as well as older cuts from their 2013 debut album ‘Silence Yourself’, ‘She Will’ and ‘Hit Me’. (A larger, more eye-friendly version of the piece can be viewed on Arté’s Web site.)

Grab ‘Adore Life’, Savages’ new LP, now for yourself from all reputable high street and internet music retailers. Past coverage on the band on TGTF, including Steven’s review of the new release, can be found here.
