Video of the Moment #1989: Foals

Hard to believe, but it’s true: Foals‘ latest album ‘What Went Down’, which seems to have been universally lauded by the critics, was released *last* summer. Nearly 5 months later, they’ve released a new promo video by director Dave Ma, their long-time collaborator who helped visualise songs from their 2008 debut album ‘Antidotes’ (feeling old now?) before going on to direct videos for Delphic, Hurts and more recently, Bastille.

In this latest collaboration with Ma, ‘Birch Tree’ is presented with sun-dappled, palm tree swinging, halcyon days-style footage shot with a Super 8 camera, working well alongside the bright guitar and bouncy percussion in the song. Watch the video below. All of TGTF’s coverage on Foals can be found through here.
