Video of the Moment #1779: Laura Marling

Laura Marling‘s latest album ‘Short Movie’ was released late last month, and now she’s announced what her next single will be. ‘Gurdjieff’s Daughter’ will be released on the 18th of May on Virgin / EMI, and the accompanying promo is…a little jarring? Filmed at Marling’s house in East Los Angeles and featuring seemingly random cameos from musicians Rostam Batmanglij (Vampire Weekend), Jonathan Wilson and Marika Hackman and actress Rhian Rees, I guess it’s supposed to be a glimpse of Laura Marling in her ‘new’ American life. Make of it what you will as you watch the video below.
