Video of the Moment #1720: The Wombats

Since the one-off release of ‘Your Body is a Weapon’ in autumn 2013, we’ve waited quite a long time for the Wombats to reappear with news about their third album. Folks, the wait is over. Murph and co. will be returning with new LP ‘Glitterbug’ on the 6th of April on Warner Brothers, and here is the first cut from the album.

The promo for ‘Greek Tragedy’ plays out my biggest fears for my buddies in the business: an obsessed fan goes too many steps too far in her stalker idolisation of the band, who meet a grisly, Law and Order: Criminal Intent-type end. I guess this is the video Sting probably wanted to make to go with ‘Don’t Stand to Close to Me’? Watch it below.

Want to read all previous Wombats goodness on TGTF? It’s this way.
