Video of the Moment #1604: Johnny Marr

Depending on who you believe, Morrissey was either dropped by or broke away from his most recent label Harvest Records. His former Smiths partner in crime Johnny Marr doesn’t seem to be suffering on a similar level at all: our Martin caught his (and Deer Shed Festival 2014‘s) triumphant headline turn in Baldersby Park last month, and now we’ve gotten wind that the man is simply trucking along, with second solo album ‘Playland’ due to be out on the 6th of October on Warner.

Ahead of the release, Marr has revealed the upbeat tempoed promo for ‘Easy Money’, filmed in a casino. (Well, naturally.) Some diehards are slating the sound of the song, saying it’s too pop and radio-friendly. Make up your own mind when you view the video below.
