Video of the Moment #413: Chapel Club

To be honest, I’m not sure really what to make of Chapel Club‘s new promo video (if it can be called that?) for ‘Roads’, a song off their ‘Wintering’ EP. Instead of attempting – badly – to give the visual the justice it deserves, I’m going to cut and paste the description of the video on Vimeo:

A conceptual curiosity this one. Loosely speaking the idea comes from Mike ([Hibbert] the band’s guitarist). Mike brought it to his brother Marc and me [Sami Abusamra] to get it made. We produced it with only one goal in mind. To make the most ‘un-music-video’ music video we could.

‘Roads’ is beautiful and evocative in a way completely different than the tracks on their debut album ‘Palace’ (reviewed last month on TGTF). Get both and see if you agree? Or disagree?
