Video(s) of the Moment #378: The Joy Formidable

So the Joy Formidable are set to release their debut album, ‘The Big Roar’, on 24 January, and frankly, it’s not a moment too soon. The ‘debut’ single from the album will be ‘Austere’ (released a week earlier, on 17 January), a monster (no pun intended) of a track. Crashing guitars and crashing drums – yes please! (If you’ve ever seen them live like I have, you know the band have the same kind of intensity in performance.)

Personally, I prefer the kitschy nonsense of the original promo video, but the new one is minimalist and pretty cool too. You can watch and enjoy both below.
