Green Man is an annual music festival which takes place in Glanusk Park, Wales. Spanning across three days (Friday August 21st – Sunday 23rd August), it’s perhaps one of the greatest independent festivals going, and this 2009 looks set to be the best Green Man yet. Taking in everything from indie, to folk, to psych, the top three headliners this year are Animal Collective (Friday), Jarvis Cocker (Saturday) and Wilco (Sunday).

Joining this awesome trio across the weekend include the likes of Bon Ivor, British Sea Power, Errors, Noah and the Whale, Emmy the Great and Stornoway. Plus, on top of all the music, this green-friendly (as you may have guessed) festival will be offering up an exciting selection of art, literature, comedy, film and theatre fun for all the family. To learn more, head over to the festival’s website now.

About Us

There Goes The Fear is where we tell you about the latest music, gigs, and tours we love and think you should too.

We love music that has its heart on its sleeve, tells a story, swims around our head all day or makes us dance like no-one's watching.

TGTF is edited by Mary Chang, who is based in Washington, DC. She is joined by writers in England, America and Ireland. It began as a UK music blog by Phil Singer in 2005.

All MP3s are posted with the permission of the artists or their representatives and are for sampling only. Like the music? Buy it.
