Saidmike (single side)Every year there is a raft of Christmas singles. Some are the dodgy re-releases of once great songs, some are rubbish blatent attempts at cashing in on the Christmas spirit.

However, one song has stuck out a bit for me this year. SaidMike bring a touch of pop-punk to idea of a Christmas song, and boasts the Pontypridd quartet’s first use of a vocal choir and those all important Christmas bells. However, unlike most songs released at this time of year, ‘It’ll Be Fine at Christmas Time’ stands tall as a great song in it’s own right and is a fitting way for the band to round off a great year. It won’t sound out of place in their traditional set, unlike some Christmas offerings by other (nameless) bands.

If you want to catch “It’ll Be Fine At Christmas Time” live, you can see them on the road for the rest of this month at the below dates. Tickets are on sale now. The single is released on 22nd December through iTunes.
