The Pet Shop Boys have announced two large shows for June to celebrate their “Outstanding Contribution To Music” award at tonight’s Brits.

The 80’s duo have a new album out on 23rd March called Yes.

Tickets go on general sale from 9am on Friday morning (20th February), and are priced £30 a ticket.

Thursday 18th June 2009 – Manchester Apollo
Friday 19th June 2009 – London The O2

Keane are set to host a mammoth night at Brixton Academy in November in aid of the War Child Charity. The band, who have supported the charity for a couple of years now are releasing the War Child single “The Night Sky” on October 29th.

The night will also see performances from The Magic Numbers, Guillemots and the Pet Shop Boys
