Bestival Time

After a wonderful summer of music festivals, it’s already time to start booking your tickets and buying your wellies for next year.  Despite the mud bath that was Bestival 2008, Rob Da Bank and the rest of his team are positive about next years festival and have released the ‘Early Bird special’ tickets today.

The Festival will take place at Robin Hill, Isle of White, starting Friday the 11th of September and coming to an end on the 13th.  For a limited period only, the fast and furious can buy a bargain adult ticket for just £120.  Not a bad price at for three days of music and mud.

Visit the Bestival web site for more information.

Glastonbury

Glastonbury - Pyramid Stage with the Killers playingSo yesterday they announced the official lineup for Glastonbury this year, and I must say I’m quite suprised.

Normally I think Glastonurys a bit overhyped, the thing to be seen at, when you can see some equally good bands at Reading and Leeds, V Festival, or any one of hundreds of other festivals. However, now I can sorta see the magic of Glastonbury shining through. Get Cape Wear Cape Fly. Four times over the weekend. Bloc Party. Guillemots. The Pipettes. Arcade Fire. The Go! Team. Hot Chip. The New Pornographers. The Klaxons. Its like my musical wet dream (if you’ll excuse the Glastonbury - related weather pun!)

But yeah, I really would love to go now. Even if you do have to put up with the wannabe celebs thinking they own the place.
