Taking a quick break from the usual live music news, something some of you may be interested in if you want a quiet night in over the next couple of nights. Current TV, a crowdsourced TV channel has a new season entitled “Tribes” beginning on Thursday 17th July until Sunday 20th July explores what and who make up tribes in today’s urban environments.
The press release goes on to talk more about the season:
Gone are the days of heredity or tribes of kinship - welcome to the colourful and buzzing world where people choose to bond over everything from shoes, to graffiti, who they like to date, how they like to dance or where they hang out. Spanning four nights, Tribe Season uncovers the coolest and most contemporary underground trends from around the globe while also investigating the issues that currently dominate our news agenda, from knife and gun crime to suicide pacts.
The four 90 minute programmes all look quite interesting, with the previews of the French dance craze being one of my personal favourites, so if you’re in over the next four nights why not catch it? You might enjoy it!
Catch Current TV on Sky Channel 193 or Virgin Channel 155.
