The Joy Formidable / May 2016 UK Tour

Following on from their short tour in February, hard-rocking Welsh band and TGTF friends The Joy Formidable have announced an appropriately formidable headline tour for May 2016. The trio’s tour includes stops at Focus Wales in Wrexham on the 12th of May and at the Great Escape in Brighton on the 19th. Tickets to the gig dates on this upcoming journey around the UK go on sale today, Friday, the 4th of March, at 10 AM. Fickle Friends / February and March 2016 UK Tour

The ink is barely dry on their newly-signed contract with Polydor Records, but Brighton indie pop band Fickle Friends have just announced a lengthy list of UK tour dates for February and March.  The tour will include a headline show at the Sheffield Leadmill on the 26th of February and a Leap Day gig at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus, before ending with a hometown date on the 12th of March.

Support for select dates will be played by Liverpool rock quartet Clean Cut Kid.  Following these live dates, both bands are scheduled to head across the pond to Austin for SXSW 2016.  Stay tuned for our upcoming Bands to Watch feature, which will cover Fickle Friends and Clean Cut Kid in more detail.

Arcane Roots / April and May 2015 UK Tour

Alt-rock heavyweights Arcane Roots have just announced a massive UK tour in anticipation of their forthcoming full length release. The band have also hinted at a new single release around their UK live dates. They will finish this extensive tour with two shows at London Oslo, the first including a full performance of their mini album ‘Left Fire’ and the second comprising an interactive show where the band will take set list suggestions from fans.

In addition to this full month of touring, Arcane Roots are on the lineup for the Takedown Festival on the 7th of March, Live at Leeds on the 2nd of May and the 2000 Trees Festival on the 9th of July. Radio-friendly rockers Young Guns have just revealed a massive spring tour of the UK in support of their upcoming third album ‘Ones and Zeros’, which will be the band’s first release on their new record label, Virgin EMI. Editor Mary featured the LP’s first single ‘I Want Out’ as a Video of the Moment back in August.

Sheffield soul-pop duo Slow Club have announced a massive list of live dates for early next year, naturally culminating with a hometown show at Queens Social Club on the 28th of February. Their latest single ‘Everything is New’, from this summer’s ‘Complete Surrender’ album, is due for release on the 17th of November, but editor Mary has already featured it as a Video of the Moment right here this past Monday Tickets for the following shows go on general sale this Friday, the 14th of November, at 9 AM.
