The EnemyCoventry lads The Enemy (who just want to get away away oh away from here…) have announced an October jaunt around the UK, much like most of the other bands around at the moment. They’re stopping at pretty much all the decent places across the UK.

All dates on sale on Friday at 9am, with the exception of Middlesborough, Wolverhampton and Birmingham dates which are all on sale now. Tickets from the usual places (See / Ticketweb / wegottickets)

Ticket alert: Special acoustic shows for Brett Anderson and Beastie Boys

Brett AndersonCoincidentally, both Brett Anderson and Beastie boys have announced special acoustic shows today.

Suede’s Brett Anderson is playing Islington’s Union Chapel on Thursday 19 July, for a one off special which is sure to be an amazing show from a guy with much talen that I’ve always admired. Tickets are on sale now.

New York’s finest Beastie Boys are playing the Roundhouse on Thu 6 September after playing the Brixton Academy and Connect the weekend before. These are on sale on Friday at 9am.

New festival for London: iTunes festival at ICA

Imogen HeapThose lovely people at iTunes have set up their own “festival” in the centre of London to take place at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) throughout July, with a raft of the best in current bands playing each night.

iTunes will be recording each of the shows and are planning to make songs from the shows available via their music shop. The ICA holds about 350 people, making the shows exceptionally intimate.

The first of this week’s on sales have been announced, with The Twang, Klaxons and Athlete all announcing dates that are on sale on Friday morning at 9am, with the exception of The Twang, which are on sale at 9am on Thursday (apparently). Expect them all to sell out very quickly.

Arcade Fire at Coachella
This week’s NME is reporting that Arcade Fire have planned their biggest ever UK shows in October and November, including some of their first arena shows. Bringing a bit of culture to the huge arenas will be a challenge which I’m sure they’ll rise to.

They’ll be playing:
