Video of the Moment #2915: Professor Green feat. Rag ‘n’ Bone Man

I’ve never really warmed to Professor Green and his style of rapping. However, his new single ‘Photographs’ – and in particular, the promo video that was made to promote it – seems apt this time of year. We’re nearing the end of one year, soon to start another. We go through these transitions every year and for many of us, moving forward is hard without the love of those who left us too soon. In writing ‘Photographs’, Green is supporting the move towards better acknowledgement of grief and more dialogue about it to help those who have lost loved ones have “proper engagement with the effects of grieving.” He’s started this petition calling for a National Grief Awareness Day.

For the promo video, Green enlisted not only his own granny Nanny Pat to appear but also fellow artist Rag ‘n’ Bone Man to lay down some verses of his own. Watch the video for the arresting and emotional ‘Photographs’ below; the single is out now on Relentless Records. Past writings on Professor Green on TGTF can be found through this link.
