Video of the Moment #2900: Editors

Editors are currently in the middle of a UK tour, which picks up again tomorrow, the 18th of October, at the venerated Manchester Apollo. The group led by Tom Smith has always been known to prefer the dark to the light, the obscured to the clear. Their latest video for a single taken from their current album, their sixth, ‘Violence’, released in March, is no exception. The visuals for ‘Cold’ were filmed by their longtime cinematic collaborator Rahi Rezvani and against the desolate backdrop of Iceland. Joining Smith but in separate scenes on this shadowy journey is American ballet dancer Drew Jacoby, interpreting Editors’ emotions through movement. Watch the artistry of ‘Cold’ below’. Editors’ next three live shows – Manchester, Birmingham on Friday the 19th and Leeds on the Saturday the 20th – are all sold out. ‘Violence’ is out now on PIAS. About Us

There Goes The Fear is where we tell you about the latest music, gigs, and tours we love and think you should too.

We love music that has its heart on its sleeve, tells a story, swims around our head all day or makes us dance like no-one's watching.

TGTF is edited by Mary Chang, who is based in Washington, DC. She is joined by writers in England, America and Ireland. It began as a UK music blog by Phil Singer in 2005.

All MP3s are posted with the permission of the artists or their representatives and are for sampling only. Like the music? Buy it. If you want a track removed, email us and we'll sort it ASAP.
