Video of the Moment #2435: Cameron Avery

It seems rather appropriate that our last Video of the Moment before I leave for BIGSOUND features an Australian act. Cameron Avery made a name for himself as the bassist of Tame Impala, but this year he celebrated the release of a new solo album. ‘Ripe Dreams, Pipe Dreams’ was released just before he showcased at SXSW 2017; it’s out now on Anti- Records and Spinning Top. This week, he has a new video from the album for us, ahead of a short North American tour he has set up for the first half of September. It’s for ‘Watch Me Take It Away’, a rhythmically funky number that works well with its oddly engaging promo showing travel and, er, destruction. Yes. You can watch the video below. About Us

There Goes The Fear is where we tell you about the latest music, gigs, and tours we love and think you should too.

We love music that has its heart on its sleeve, tells a story, swims around our head all day or makes us dance like no-one's watching.

TGTF is edited by Mary Chang, who is based in Washington, DC. She is joined by writers in England, America and Ireland. It began as a UK music blog by Phil Singer in 2005.

All MP3s are posted with the permission of the artists or their representatives and are for sampling only. Like the music? Buy it. If you want a track removed, email us and we'll sort it ASAP.
