Stadium rock band Coldplay have just released a stunning new video for their third single from ‘A Head Full of Dreams’. The optimistically titled ‘Up & Up’ is the album’s final track, closing the band’s seventh LP (and very likely their last, according to frontman Chris Martin) on anthemic high. The new video, directed by Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia, focuses the song’s positive perspective on a wide array of global and social issues, taking a hopeful view of life in general and inspiring a feeling of peace despite whatever current troubles might be on our minds.

Aside from the video’s underlying message, its delightfully surreal visual imagery is quite simply amazing. Joined with Coldplay’s blend of anthemic melodies and atmospheric keyboard backing, the video’s overall effect is both fascinating and enchanting. We bet you’ll watch it more than once. And ICYMI, Coldplay’s current album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ is out now. The band will headline at Glastonbury 2016 for a record fourth time in June. Previous coverage of Coldplay on TGTF is right back here.
