Live Gig Video: Orbital perform ‘Where Is It Going?’ at the Paralympics

Let’s see how long this video stays online. Orbital, who returned to the fold in April with ‘Wonky’, their first album in 8 years, performed last week at the Paralympics opening ceremony. Appropriately, they chose to include some disabled musicians in this rousing rendition of ‘Wonky’ closing track ‘Where Is It Going?’ And as if something massive like playing at the Paralympics opening ceremony wasn’t surreal enough, scientist Stephen Hawking joined them. Ian McKellen also got into the act; he was seen raising a sign during the cover of Ian Dury and the Blockheads’ ‘Spasticus Autisticus’ done with defiant gusto by another group of musicians. Watch it below.
