MP3 of the Day #363: The Paper Scissors

I think starting from the age of 8, I wanted to live in England. But now I want to live in Australia. Why? The Paper Scissors is one really good reason. They had me with one song, ‘Lung Sum’, last autumn (Bands to Watch feature and video here).

The Paper Scissors just released a new album, ‘In Loving Memory’, last week on Source Music / MGM Distribution, and judging from this one track they’re giving away for absolutely free, it’ll be a good’un. The vocals on ‘Taller Than You Then’ are slightly less dissonant and punky than the ones in ‘Lung Sum’ and therefore this one is probably perceived as more approachable, but in any event, I’m guessing the album must be amazing.
