Self-proclaimed tennis fanatics Housse De Racket are a Parisian electronic duo who just completed a 10-date UK tour last month supporting Does It Offend You, Yeah?
Their latest release is a double A-sided single for ‘Synthétiseur’ and ‘Sur le Papier’. The latter (which means “on paper” en Français) reminds me of current-day Cribs; don’t ask me why, but it sounds a lot like ‘We Share the Same Skies’ to me.
‘Synthétiseur’ (synthesiser in French) is a strange but beguiling juxtaposition between robo-electropop and traditional rock. And if you like the way the French language sounds in song, this might just hit the spot. Below, you can watch the mostly in-the-dark video for ‘Synthetiseur’ directed by Frank Seiler and Arnaud Delord.

The double A-sided single for ‘Synthétiseur’ and ‘Sur le Papier’ by Housse De Racket was released in the UK on 26 October. Label 50 Bones is currently offering a limited edition 7″ vinyl of the single; you can order it here.
