Pomegranates (side)Slowly climbing the US indie scene, Pomegranates have just been signed to the rather good Heist Or Hit Records here in the UK, home to TGTF favourites The Answering Machine (coverage)and LoveLikeFire (coverage).

They say:

Shimmering self-professed “art-pop”…A youthful, open-eared quartet enlivened with a kick-ass record collection, ceiling-less imagination, ragged guitars, and songwriting chops for days.

- Spin

We say:

Catchy and instantly memorable, they have the fast natured guitar driven approach of The Answering Machine whilst having a hint of Death Cab for Cutie and other US indie mainstream elite about them. A huge sense of fun is at the heart of all of the songs – the fragile vocals soon give way to a power verse that would give Passion Pit a run for their money.
