Ahead of this, the outfit are offering up ‘Bye Bye Bayou’ as a free MP3 download from the forthcoming album. I heard the superb cover of Alan Vega’s tune on last Thursday’s edition of Steve Lamacq’s Roundtable, with Florence (and the Machine) Welch, former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker,, and Romeo Stodart from the Magic Numbers all giving it their thumbs-up.
Visit LCD Soundsystem’s official Web site to snag this beauty. Hurry: Parlophone, their record label, has only allowed 20,000 downloads. So once they’re gone, you’ll have to wait until 7 November for the vinyl release and 14 November for the digital.
