Ever since I posted their amazing “Something Good Can Work” back in January, Two Door Cinema Club have been a band that have slowly crawled under my skin and made a home for themselves in my heart. Simple, catchy and punchy (and any other word ending in -y), “Something Good” is currently riding high at number 2 in my most listened tunes of 2009.
So, when I get their new single, “I can Talk” on Friday, my heart skipped a beat – it’s AMAZING. Fragile vocals, fast paced, memorable, shouty and ever so danceable, it sounds like it’s fresh off the screens of E4’s Skins.
However, after that rollercoaster, I was told I can’t share the MP3 with you…. I know, I know, tragic stuff. But I can share this remix by the French Horn Rebellion which does it a fair bit of justice, turning it into a Daft Punk-style dance epic. If you don’t at least move your hips a bit you’re not all there. Sorry.
