MP3 of the Day #98: The Raveonettes

Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo make up the Raveonettes, a Danish indie rock duo. The two are self-professed ’50s vocal group / ’60s guitar rock fans, so you shouldn’t be surprised in hearing sweetness of vocals reminiscent of the Chiffons and the Ronettes in their vocals and their simplistic guitar/drum backing.

The band will play a special gig at London’s Hoxton Bar and Kitchen on Monday 7th September. Gig-goers will receive a special signed copy of their forthcoming album, ‘In and Out of Control’, included as part of the 20-quid ticket price. Before then, have a listen to the track ‘Suicide’ from the new album.
