MP3 of the Day #103: ARMS

I’m a big fan of lo-fi stuff that quietly gets under your skin and before you know it you love it. This track from ARMS is played ukulele and perfect for a miserable Tuesday morning.

ARMS is essentially Todd Goldstein, guitarist for Brooklyn group the Harlem Shakes. It started out as a lo-fi bedroom project a few years back, but there was such a great response to this album that it’s quickly turned into a full-on touring band. Sounding a tiny bit like Michael Stipe, it’s certainly a laid back, stripped back affair. Tasty.
