There are some rising names you just can’t avoid. Everywhere I’ve turned in the music press recently, Twisted Wheel keep on popping up. Jessica first introduced them to us all in December, and since then they’ve been announced as supporting Paul Weller, Oasis, and now have announced their headline tour for May. Things look like they’re hotting up for the northern lads, and this great video for forthcoming single “We Are Us”. They hate being compared to the Arctic Monkeys or Oasis however they share a lot of similarities with both of them.
You can pre-order the single and their forthcoming self-titled album here, which we’d strongly reccomend – everything we’ve heard so far says that they’ll be perfect for those lads nights out, or the day when Oasis or Kasabian are past their best (or have drunk themselves to an early grave).
We Are Us is out now, and “Twisted Wheel”, their self-titled debut is out on April 4th.
