Philip PullmanNew Phil Hawkins film The Buttefly Tattoo (based on the Philip Pullman book) is being shot in Oxford this autumn, and is on the look out for local bands to provide music for it.

“The Butterfly Tattoo is the tragic story about the boy Chris who meets Jenny, the love of his life, by chance at an Oxford college summer ball. While Jenny is street smart, Chris is naïve. And while Chris has had a regular life, Jenny is haunted by a past of abuse. Then bad fortune hits the young lovers; right after their first night together they are separated. The next time Chris holds his Jenny, she is dead in a pool of her own blood.”

Phil Hawkins is directing and is on the look out for local bands to submit their indie rock/acoustic tracks in or AIFF format by email to thebutterflytattoomusic@googlemail.com.
